Orienteering – an outdoor sport for all

A new fun outdoor activity for people of all physical abilities

Posted on 22.10.2019

Orienteering Queensland has developed a new fun outdoor activity which can be enjoyed by people of all physical abilities,.

It gives people of all physical abilities an opportunity to enjoy some of Brisbane’s local parks while exercising their minds by having to decipher a map accurately and choose the best route between control sites.

It can also be an activity where a carer takes a client out for a pleasant walk with an added twist, around our beautiful parks.

MapRun Parks Permanent Courses enable you to enjoy the fun and challenge of navigating your way around parklands using a free smartphone app. Your next park visit can become an adventure as you use free downloadable maps to discover six beautiful parks across Queensland. These courses can be done at any time solo or with carers/friends.
