Expressions of Interest for TAC Membership

At its 01 December 2021 meeting, the Australian Industry and Skills Committee (AISC) approved the Case for Change for the update of Sport and Recreation & Aquatic and Community Recreation Qualifications in the SIS Sport, Fitness and Recreation Training Package.

SkillsIQ, under the direction of the Sport and Recreation Industry Reference Committee, is now undertaking a thorough update of the Sport and Recreation & Aquatic and Community Recreation Training Package Products included in the SIS Sport, Fitness and Recreation Training Package.

The review will include the following components:

    • SIS10115 Certificate I in Sport and Recreation
    • SIS20115 Certificate II in Sport and Recreation
    • SIS30115 Certificate III in Sport and Recreation
    • SIS31015 Certificate III in Aquatics and Community Recreation
    • SIS40115 Certificate IV in Sport and Recreation
    • SIS50115 Diploma of Sport and Recreation Management
    • Aquatic Technical Operator Skill Set
    • Swimming and Water Safety Teacher Skill Set.

These Training Package Products together comprise a total of 49 SISX and SISCA Units of Competency.

To inform this review a Sport and Recreation & Aquatic and Community Recreation Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) is being formed to guide the project.

Project Status – Expressions of Interest for TAC Membership

Expressions of Interest for the TAC will be open from Friday, 17 December 2021 and will close at 5.00pm AEDT on Monday, 10 January 2022.
